Why is Microsoft Access not installed within the Microsoft Office? I need it and I thought it should be there with the others. How can I get it?

D
Answer by Dan Angel

When you install Microsoft Office, not all features and programs are installed by default, but only some of them (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). In order to install Microsoft Access you need to click Custom in the installation menu, then you will be able to select what packages that are going to be installed.

You can't acquire Microsoft Office 2003 or Microsoft Office 2007 for free. Only the trial versions of them were available for free. Microsoft no longer offers a trial version of this two old Microsoft Office packages. You can employ a Microsoft Office Professional 2013 trial. After you create a Microsoft account, you will be able to download and install the full-featured software for a 60-day trial.

I don't need Microsoft Office anymore. How can I uninstall it?

Answer by Pete Clapp

If you use Windows XP or bellow, you can go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. In the Currently installed programs box, click on Microsoft Office program and then click Remove.
If you have Windows Vista or above, you need to go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Select Microsoft Office and click on Uninstall.
Also you can use Revo Uninstaller. Even if it can't uninstall the application normally, it will uninstall it by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.

Yes, you can uninstall it because Microsoft Office Activation Assistant is a tool that allows customers who have Microsoft Office 2007 pre-installed to activate their product. Once you activate the package, you don't need the application anymore. However it is a small utility which doesn't require much space or resources.

To uninstall it, you can use the uninstaller from the installation folder or Add or Remove Programs feature:
If you use Windows XP or bellow you can go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. In the Currently installed programs box, click on the program and then click Remove.
If you have Windows Vista or above you need to go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Select the application and click on Uninstall.
